The Elementor menu
Starting in January 2026, some of the Elementor functions connected to site building and management in the WP Admin moved locations.
This change gives users a clearer and more efficient way of managing their sites and differentiating between the Editor’s page building and site management features.
The notable changes are:
- Templates are now part of the Editor settings instead of being a separate section in the WP Admin.
- Custom Fonts, Custom Icons and Custom Code are now grouped together as “Custom Elements” inside the Editor menu.
- System Info, Element Manager and Licence/Connect are now grouped together as “System” inside the Editor menu.
Below is a full explanation of the new menu structure.
Home
The Elementor home screen gives you a new way to manage Elementor Pro and other Elementor plugins. The home screen contains shortcuts to many of the Editor’s most used features, significantly cutting down your workflow. Here, you’ll manage capabilities you need to create, manage and optimize your website using unified, intuitive controls. For Elementor One users, you’ll be able to monitor your credit usage to make sure you have enough to keep your site running smoothly, buy more credits if you need and upgrade your account as your business grows.
Access the Elementor home screen
To access the Elementor home screen:

Editor
Select Editor to open a submenu to access all Editor settings. You can collapse this menu into a sidebar for a clearer screen.
The Editor submenu contains:
- Quickstart: This screen contains shortcuts to some popular actions, such as creating a new page.
- Settings: controls how Elementor interacts with your WordPress theme and external services. Settings are divided into four tabs:
- General
- Post Types: By default, Elementor is active on Pages and Posts. If you have Custom Post Types (like “Portfolio” or “Products”), you must check them here to edit them with Elementor.
- Enable/Disable default fonts and colors.
- Integrations
- Advanced
- CSS Print Method: Defaults to “External File” (Recommended). This generates a separate CSS file for each page, which is faster for browsers to cache than “Internal Embedding.”
- Enable Unfiltered File Uploads: Toggle this ON if you need to upload SVGs or JSON files (for Lottie animations). Security Note: Only enable this if you are the only admin, as SVGs can technically carry malicious code.
- Enable/Disable Google fonts.
- Choose a method of loading Google fonts.
- Load Google fonts locally
- Features: This tab allows you to activate or deactivate specific Elementor features.
- Stable Features: Keep these on (e.g., Flexbox Containers).
- Beta/Alpha: Only use these on staging sites. They are the cutting-edge features that might still have bugs.
- Version 4
- General
- Tools: If your site “looks broken” or a migration failed, this is your first stop. Contains four tabs:
- General
- Clear files and data
- Sync Library: Use this if your Template Library isn’t loading or looks empty.
- Replace URL: Critical for Migrations. If you move your site from a staging URL (staging.site.com) to a live URL (site.com) and your images disappear, use this tool.
- Replace URL
- Version control
- Maintenance Mode: This feature means you don’t need a separate “Coming Soon” plugin.
