Pines<br \/>simav Elementor and with me is zip Hertz<br \/>web designer and educator here at<br \/>Elementor highs if I then how are you<br \/>I&#8217;m good and good are you are you ready<br \/>for the webinar absolutely<br \/>so in case you don&#8217;t know Elementor just<br \/>released a revolutionary new pop-up<br \/>builder and we&#8217;re excited to show you<br \/>how to build pop-ups how to target them<br \/>and first I want to tell you a bit why<br \/>we built this product so basically<br \/>designing pop-ups is very hard nowadays<br \/>you use another interface and you can&#8217;t<br \/>really include all the great content<br \/>from your WordPress site from your<br \/>elementary templates WooCommerce and<br \/>that just doesn&#8217;t make sense<br \/>so zip tell us a bit about elemental<br \/>pop-ups okay so basically to start a<br \/>pop-up what we&#8217;re gonna do is we&#8217;re<br \/>gonna go to the dashboard and we&#8217;ll go<br \/>to templates and you&#8217;ll see pop-ups so<br \/>press that and this is the same process<br \/>you use to build any part of your<br \/>website with the theme builder the same<br \/>thing you&#8217;re building the pop-up in the<br \/>same process which is a huge deal we&#8217;ll<br \/>go ahead and and press add new and as<br \/>you can see the template type is already<br \/>selected it&#8217;s pop-up and what we&#8217;ll go<br \/>and do is we&#8217;ll type in the name of the<br \/>pop-up and we&#8217;ll create a template so<br \/>now you can see that the pop-up window<br \/>comes up and here you will see tons of<br \/>pre-made pre-designed templates that<br \/>we&#8217;ve prepared for you and there&#8217;s a<br \/>template for each use case you might<br \/>need so scroll through you can preview a<br \/>template we&#8217;ve made really beautiful<br \/>templates so I invite you to browse<br \/>around choose whatever you like in the<br \/>categories<br \/>we&#8217;ll see you have bottom bars the<br \/>classic pop up flying pop-ups<br \/>fullscreen hellobar and sliding and<br \/>these are an amazing collection we&#8217;ll<br \/>have a lot more in the in the next<br \/>couple of next time soon so we can build<br \/>it also from scratch the pop-up so what<br \/>we&#8217;ll do is we&#8217;ll press the X area and<br \/>as you can see we&#8217;ve got the regular<br \/>elemental editor what we can do here is<br \/>we can just drag in you know like like<br \/>normal my heading can add an image so<br \/>that&#8217;s the same editor that you&#8217;re using<br \/>to build your entire site you can use<br \/>any of elementors widgets and create<br \/>like Ziff is doing that now create a<br \/>layout with columns you really have no<br \/>limit as to what you can accomplish with<br \/>this pop-up builder but what we&#8217;re going<br \/>to be doing is we&#8217;re going to use a<br \/>pre-designed pop-up from the library so<br \/>we&#8217;ll go ahead and go to the library and<br \/>as you can see how we can select either<br \/>one of the pop-ups that we&#8217;ve designed<br \/>we can go to the templates and I&#8217;ll go<br \/>ahead and open up a pop-up that already<br \/>pre-made as you can see over here and I<br \/>mean we&#8217;re going to be releasing more<br \/>videos on explaining how to design the<br \/>pop-ups you know so all of the regular<br \/>editing with the widgets and the<br \/>settings but for now we&#8217;re going to<br \/>focus on the pop-up settings itself so<br \/>we&#8217;ll go ahead and press the settings<br \/>cog over here on the Left bottom and<br \/>we&#8217;ll start off with the layout so<br \/>basically what we can do here as you can<br \/>see is we can control the width so this<br \/>is a really a huge thing because not<br \/>only can you design your entire inside<br \/>of the pop-up with Elementor but the<br \/>outside as well this includes the window<br \/>there over the overlay so let&#8217;s see what<br \/>can be done now besides for the width we<br \/>can also control the height we can set<br \/>it to fit to content basically the heart<br \/>will be determined by the amount of<br \/>content you&#8217;ve got in the pop-up we can<br \/>also set it to fit to screen<br \/>which will then take the whole height of<br \/>the screen what we can do then is we can<br \/>also position the content to the top the<br \/>center and the bottom and what we can<br \/>also do is we can set a custom height<br \/>you can just use the slider over here<br \/>and once again we can also set the<br \/>position of the content now I&#8217;m gonna go<br \/>ahead and set it to fit to content<br \/>and let&#8217;s move on to the position so<br \/>basically you can also position the pop<br \/>up you can align it to the left<br \/>horizontally you can align it to the<br \/>center in the right vertically we can<br \/>align it to the top to the center and<br \/>the bottom as you can see here go ahead<br \/>and set it to the center we&#8217;ve got an<br \/>option here to a show\/hide the overlay<br \/>as you can see when we hide the overlay<br \/>we get the the user can still interact<br \/>the visitor can still interact with all<br \/>of the elements behind the pop-up so the<br \/>regular webpage without without<br \/>interfering so you can actually control<br \/>the type of experience you&#8217;re offering<br \/>to your users if you&#8217;re thinking about<br \/>adding a mess a short message box to the<br \/>bottom of the page you can still have<br \/>the user continue to browse and scroll<br \/>along your site okay and we can also<br \/>decide to show and hide the close button<br \/>okay as you can see over here and this<br \/>is also once again it&#8217;s very good for<br \/>the user experience for any reason if we<br \/>would like to the pop-up to shop without<br \/>having the close button sharp straight<br \/>away or if we just want to disable it<br \/>entirely we can do that over here this<br \/>is good also to restrict the content<br \/>right yes exactly also we can add an<br \/>entrance animation as you can see over<br \/>here you can bring the pop-up to life<br \/>you can set its duration as well now<br \/>let&#8217;s move on to the style tab in the<br \/>style tab we can set we can set the<br \/>background because the background color<br \/>as you can see here<br \/>can play around with that cassette the<br \/>and background image as you can see<br \/>we&#8217;ve got a border over here the border<br \/>is yellow that&#8217;s ten pixels we can set<br \/>our own width<br \/>now all these customizations are really<br \/>important to create the right appeal of<br \/>and the right fit for each pop-up and<br \/>your website so customize it to fit your<br \/>brand your website and your style<br \/>absolutely just like regularly we can<br \/>play around with the border as well to<br \/>set the radius over here got a box<br \/>shadow that we can set now in the<br \/>overlay drop-down we can customize what<br \/>happens outside the pop-up so it&#8217;s the<br \/>area surrounding the pop-up over here we<br \/>can set its color will really really<br \/>give a customized experience of the<br \/>pop-up you can even set an image I don&#8217;t<br \/>think this flexibility is available in<br \/>any tool that I know of so it&#8217;s cool<br \/>okay let&#8217;s go to the Advanced tab where<br \/>we can set some oh so we&#8217;ve got some<br \/>advanced settings over here we can also<br \/>set the pop-up to close automatically<br \/>after a certain amount of seconds let&#8217;s<br \/>say your user lands on the page or sees<br \/>the pop-up and you know you went to the<br \/>pop-up to close automatically we go<br \/>ahead and set that over here prevent<br \/>closing on overlay and prevent closing<br \/>on escape they&#8217;re very similar<br \/>basically you prevent the pop-up from<br \/>closing on overlay basically means if<br \/>your user clicks on the on the area<br \/>surrounding the pop-up then the pop-up<br \/>won&#8217;t close okay and if he wants to<br \/>close the pop-up by clicking the escape<br \/>but key also add one close so if you<br \/>want to create a content lock and keep<br \/>your users behind this content wall that<br \/>you have you want to remove the ability<br \/>to close the pop-up on click outside of<br \/>the window and also if they hit the<br \/>escape button also what we can do is we<br \/>can disable the page scrolling<br \/>so the moment that the pop-up appears<br \/>the user won&#8217;t be able to scroll and<br \/>what we can also do is if the user has<br \/>already seen a pop-up on this page then<br \/>we can decide for this specific pop-up<br \/>not to show oh this is a setting that I<br \/>personally like because I remember I I<br \/>don&#8217;t remember which side it was but I<br \/>landed on the site and it had one pop-up<br \/>then I continued it had another one very<br \/>annoying just not a good experience and<br \/>this setting actually prevents even if<br \/>by mistake you created two pop-ups on<br \/>the same page it&#8217;s not a problem<br \/>you&#8217;ll still avoid the multiple pop-up<br \/>scenario exactly so we&#8217;ll set that away<br \/>avoid multiple pop-ups okay so that&#8217;s<br \/>basically the pop-up settings now I<br \/>think that covers the area of designing<br \/>and customizing the pop-up but we<br \/>actually have a lot more to show you<br \/>because all the magic here is also with<br \/>the targeting and triggering options so<br \/>these are all the settings that help you<br \/>determine how and where the pop-up<br \/>appears so let&#8217;s go to that window okay<br \/>so we go ahead and we hit publish as you<br \/>can see over here we&#8217;ve got the<br \/>conditions basically the conditions that<br \/>determine where the pop-up is used<br \/>throughout the site what we do is we add<br \/>the condition over here very easily we<br \/>can decide to either include or exclude<br \/>so any page any category that you want<br \/>to include you can do that it works the<br \/>same way as you&#8217;re used to with the<br \/>theme builder if you tried it very easy<br \/>and very intuitive to use so you can<br \/>also get very specific and you can set a<br \/>specific you know post category for<br \/>whether the pop-up can show so I&#8217;m gonna<br \/>go ahead and set it to the entire site<br \/>as you can see we can add multiple<br \/>conditions so it will actually have a<br \/>separate video in a later time<br \/>explaining this in detail so stay tuned<br \/>for that<br \/>absolutely okay so now we&#8217;ve done<br \/>setting where the pop-up appears<br \/>throughout the other side and let&#8217;s see<br \/>what what user actions actually<br \/>you know trigger the pop-up so we go to<br \/>triggers we can set on page load<br \/>basically what this means is that if if<br \/>you visit the lens on the page and you<br \/>know the page is loaded if you set this<br \/>to zero seconds the pop-up will show<br \/>straight away and if you want to delay<br \/>that you can let&#8217;s say 30 seconds you<br \/>can just set that over here and then the<br \/>pop-up will show after 30 seconds now<br \/>unscrew means that the moment your user<br \/>starts scrolling down the page you can<br \/>set the pop-up to show after a certain<br \/>percentage of scrolling so let&#8217;s say 50<br \/>percent halfway through the page and I<br \/>know this setting is very important for<br \/>content sites so those content sites<br \/>with a blog after user hit about 80<br \/>percent of the article you want to add<br \/>the pop-up that maybe tells them to sign<br \/>up for your newsletter or maybe if they<br \/>finish the article you want to a pop-up<br \/>that introduces other articles in your<br \/>blog so this is where the power of<br \/>elementor&#8217;s pop-up that you can include<br \/>content from your real site it&#8217;s the<br \/>same interface and that&#8217;s a great<br \/>trigger absolutely so like if I set this<br \/>visitor is nearing the end of the page<br \/>the pop-up will be triggered to get<br \/>their attention so we set that here<br \/>another really really cool option is to<br \/>unscrew all two elements to shut the<br \/>pop-up the shell on scroll to certain<br \/>element as you can see here in the<br \/>selector we just we enter the ID or the<br \/>class over here and the moment that the<br \/>visitor reaches that element could be a<br \/>an image it could be you know an altar<br \/>action area button that&#8217;s when the<br \/>pop-up will show so we can really set<br \/>specific really target specific use<br \/>cases aware the next setting on click<br \/>very simple we can set the pop-up to<br \/>show after certain amount of clicks the<br \/>mouse clicks on the page yeah after you<br \/>have some sort of interaction from the<br \/>user you can show them the pop-up that<br \/>you like and after an activity it&#8217;s<br \/>basically with<br \/>the idle time so if you you know you<br \/>your visitor has hasn&#8217;t interacted with<br \/>the page you know was might have lost<br \/>his focus or attention was busy doing<br \/>something else open YouTube open<br \/>facebook grab their attention back<br \/>because I opening a pop-up add some<br \/>movement here I would also include this<br \/>animation and an ability so it actually<br \/>interacts and grabs the attention<br \/>absolutely so I can go ahead and set<br \/>that over here in seconds and then the<br \/>next setting is on page exit intent<br \/>basically the moment that your visitor<br \/>starts nearing the mouth starts nearing<br \/>the edge of the page we can set the<br \/>pop-up to show as well this is very<br \/>important for e-commerce sites because<br \/>when the user tries to get out of the<br \/>page maybe it&#8217;s the right time to show<br \/>them an offer get them give them the<br \/>nudge to actually make the purchase okay<br \/>so let&#8217;s move on to advanced rules and<br \/>show after X amount of Penn&#8217;s pageviews<br \/>we do that over here if your visitor has<br \/>seen a certain amount of pages and we<br \/>want the puppet to show early after that<br \/>so we said that right here if your<br \/>visitors seen three pages then the<br \/>pop-up will show afterwards show after X<br \/>amount of sessions okay so let&#8217;s say a<br \/>user is visited your website already and<br \/>has come back for the second time and<br \/>that&#8217;s when you want to show them the<br \/>pop-up with your sales offer if it&#8217;s<br \/>someone that already visited your site<br \/>he knows about what you offer that&#8217;s a<br \/>great time to give them the the offer<br \/>that you have after they had some<br \/>experience with your service and your<br \/>product absolutely show up to X amount<br \/>of times here we can limit the amount of<br \/>times that pop up actually shows you<br \/>know we all don&#8217;t you know we don&#8217;t like<br \/>to see too many pop-ups and yeah and if<br \/>you haven&#8217;t sold on the third time<br \/>you&#8217;re popping up the same one you<br \/>probably shouldn&#8217;t use the same pop-up<br \/>maybe try a different approach<br \/>another pop-up to to do to use instead<br \/>and when arriving from a specific URL<br \/>this is really really cool we can decide<br \/>to show or hide<br \/>the pop up based on where they&#8217;re coming<br \/>from so you know we just paste in the<br \/>URL over here and then we can decide for<br \/>the barb to show or hide this is also<br \/>great for personalization so if I know I<br \/>have a campaign from Facebook I can add<br \/>the URL Facebook and then pop up a<br \/>specific pop up for them hello Facebook<br \/>users and having that much more<br \/>personalized message gives me a lot more<br \/>conversions and opportunity to get the<br \/>sale and and also really cool is that we<br \/>can we consider a rejects for advanced<br \/>users so if you want the pop-up to show<br \/>when they come from a certain in a blog<br \/>or Facebook page we just put in the<br \/>rejects here which is really really cool<br \/>okay moving on to show when arriving<br \/>from basically here we can decide for<br \/>the part to show when when your users<br \/>arrive from search engines like Google<br \/>and Bing<br \/>external links links outside your<br \/>website and internal links inside your<br \/>website or the man we can also decide to<br \/>hide the pop-up for logged in users and<br \/>you know like sometimes you just don&#8217;t<br \/>want to show a pop-up for users that are<br \/>ready logged in or signed up so we hide<br \/>the pop-up here again this allows for<br \/>really advanced segmentation you can<br \/>only target those users who haven&#8217;t yet<br \/>converted and become your subscribers or<br \/>users and get them to to make the sale<br \/>and don&#8217;t interrupt the users that<br \/>already converted and we can over here<br \/>we can select all users or we can set<br \/>custom users as you can see over here so<br \/>we can get really really specific and<br \/>finally we can also set the pop-up to<br \/>show on devices desktop tablet and<br \/>mobile we set that over here so if you<br \/>want to remove not to show up on mobile<br \/>you can save it yeah you&#8217;ve seen every<br \/>setting here is so intuitive it&#8217;s just a<br \/>flip of the switch don&#8217;t you don&#8217;t need<br \/>any technical know-how even I can do it<br \/>and you can really get a high level of<br \/>complexity and targeting<br \/>just by using these these switches so a<br \/>lot of work has put into to building it<br \/>like this way and I think the result is<br \/>it&#8217;s nice absolutely<br \/>there&#8217;s so many different use cases we<br \/>can you know we can set the pop up to<br \/>you to appear so yeah let&#8217;s show them to<br \/>use cases that to get you up in the<br \/>rolling and knowing this material even<br \/>better<br \/>absolutely okay what&#8217;s so give me a use<br \/>case okay so let&#8217;s start with the<br \/>classic<br \/>I want a landing page where I click on a<br \/>button and the pop-up appears okay so<br \/>for that we need a landing page so let&#8217;s<br \/>go over here now this is our landing<br \/>page and we want to pop up to show when<br \/>we press this button right okay so let&#8217;s<br \/>go to the settings I need to go to the<br \/>batten widget and we&#8217;ll go to link will<br \/>press dynamic and under actions will<br \/>press pop-up and then we&#8217;ll press on the<br \/>pop up settings now when we press the<br \/>button we want to pop up to open so<br \/>we&#8217;ll leave that and here we can select<br \/>the pop up so let&#8217;s go ahead and select<br \/>this I can we update the page and that&#8217;s<br \/>it really<br \/>right now let&#8217;s preview okay so let&#8217;s go<br \/>ahead and hit the button and then works<br \/>like a charm okay so the second scenario<br \/>is a bit more complicated<br \/>I want the pop-up to open when I scroll<br \/>to 80% and then I want it actually to<br \/>close after I submit the form so this is<br \/>a general scenario that&#8217;s a it&#8217;s a good<br \/>one<br \/>so first basically what we want is we<br \/>want to pop up to show up to appear when<br \/>the user Scrolls 80% right so we already<br \/>were there we were in triggers on scroll<br \/>so we&#8217;ll go back to that the direction<br \/>is down 80% we&#8217;ll hit save and close and<br \/>basically what we want is the pop-up to<br \/>close when<br \/>when the user hits submit right yeah so<br \/>that&#8217;s actually a cool feature of<br \/>Elementor that links clicking on links<br \/>in buttons or clicking or submitting a<br \/>form actually can close open or toggle<br \/>the pop-up so this is a unique feature<br \/>and it&#8217;s easily done really cool so<br \/>basically what we do is we go to the<br \/>form right we go to the form widget and<br \/>here we&#8217;ve got actions after submit add<br \/>action go ahead and search for pop-up in<br \/>the pop-up drop-down that appears we can<br \/>choose the action we wanted to close the<br \/>pop-up so go ahead and select that<br \/>and we also have an option to not show<br \/>the pop-up again<br \/>and go ahead and hit that as well update<br \/>the page update the pop-up and let&#8217;s<br \/>check it out will refresh this page over<br \/>here and we&#8217;ll start scrolling there we<br \/>go<br \/>yeah 80 percent let&#8217;s fill it in go<br \/>ahead and fill it in go ahead and go<br \/>ahead and send the message was sent<br \/>successfully just when you sent it<br \/>closed the pop-up and that&#8217;s the second<br \/>example that we wanted to show so this<br \/>is the webinar and we want to hear your<br
