Issues after site update

You may encounter unexplained issues after updating your website.

Possible cause

These are possible causes:

  • Theme or plugin issues
  • Caching issues


If you encounter issues after updating your site, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Activate Safe Mode. If this resolves the problem, the issue is either with your theme or with one of your plugins.

    You can debug Safe Mode to rectify the issue. You may need to contact the plugin or theme developers for support.
  • Clear all cache including browser cache, WordPress caching plugins, and server caches.  Do this multiple times, if necessary.

    Even if you are not using a caching plugin, your host may be caching your site on the server-side. Contact your host to clear all server side cache.

    Also, test your site in an incognito browser.
  • Restore from your backup to immediately get back the last working instance before the update.

  • Raise a ticket to Elementor support if any bugs seem to be strictly linked to Elementor.
