A major Cloudflare outage impacted all its services globally. For about 30 minutes, visitors to Cloudflare sites received 502 errors. This was caused by a spike in CPU utilization on Cloudflare’s network. The problem, it seems, has been resolved and everything appears to be back to normal. Speculations of an attack were refuted by the company and according to Cloudflare’s CEO, the issue was a result of a bad software deployment that was rolled back.
