Why We’re Thrilled About DE{CODE} 2021

DE{CODE} 2021 is WP Engine’s annual virtual developer-focused event, giving you, the industry experts and WordPress community leaders, your chance to learn from peers and to find your strategic angle to move at the new speed of digital. By the end of your event, you’ll be fully equipped to perfect your development workflow and craft even better digital experiences.

Last year at the very first DE{CODE} event, there was a large attendance of over 2,500 developers and dev enthusiasts. WP Engine is expecting an even larger crowd this year. You couldn’t ask for a better chance to learn from WordPress experts and join our developers in our mutual objective to improve web creation workflows.

At the event, you’ll get to connect with fellow Elementor and WordPress Developers and broaden your network of friends. There aren’t a lot of WordPress events dedicated to developers — and this one is a golden, niche opportunity to meet, network, and learn with your peers.

Decode 2021 Speakers

DE{CODE} is also where you’ll have the chance to hear from industry-leading WordPress experts devoted to delivering breakthrough digital experiences. The speaker lineup is top-notch and includes Keynotes, Breakouts (participants will break up into smaller groups to discuss the main presentation topic), and Flextime.

Here are some of the speakers and sessions you’ll have the chance to hear from (to name a few):

  • “Declutter Your Site Structure”

Marieke van de Rakt, CEO of Yoast

  • “Five Things That Have Made Me a Better (WordPress) Developer”

— Mike Little, Co-Creator of WordPress and Community Engineer at Human Made

  • “Building Faster Locally with Local”

— Ben Turner, WP Engine

  • “How to Ensure You’re Launching the Most Secure Website”

— Michael Tremante, Cloudflare

Don’t Miss Our Session on Usability Testing for Developers

One of the sessions we’re most looking forward to at the event is Usability Testing for Developers, where our very own UX Director Ainatte Inbal will discuss the dos and don’ts of usability tests that you can easily perform yourself. At Elementor, we encourage all of our developers to participate in user interviews. Ainatte will also demonstrate the importance of including developers in evaluative research and present simple-to-follow steps for conducting a productive usability test.
