Introduction
Whether you’re building your site from scratch or using one of our website kits, you’ll need to learn how to use the Elementor Editor. We’ll start by going over the basic layout of the editor.
How do I get there?
There are two ways to open the Elementor Editor:
- Go to you My Elementor dashboard.
- Log into your Elementor site.
- Choose the website you’d like to edit and click Edit with Elementor.

Getting to know the Elementor Editor
Click on the different hot spots below to familiarize yourself with the layout of the editor.
The canvas is where you build your page.
This is where you’ll find tools and settings. When the panel contains widgets, it’s called a Widget Panel. After you’ve selected an element it becomes the Editing panel where you’ll edit the element.
Drag a widget in this are to create a new section or container.
Click the "+" sign to create a new section or container.
Click the folder to import a template.
