Images missing in template library

Last Update: March 4, 2024

Issue

Images are missing in the Template Library.

Possible causes & solutions

Low memory limit

Increase the memory limit. Ask your hosting provider to raise the memory limit to 256MB.

Browser add-on

Adblock browser add-ons may cause images to disappear. Temporarily disable them to see if it helps.

Mixed content issues

Mixed content can make your pictures and icons disappear.

Make sure that you do not have mixed content. For example, images or icons loaded via HTTP while your website uses the HTTPS protocol.

To solve the mixed content issues, see URL change disrupts Elementor functioning.

Server settings (file permission issues)

The server can block the transfer of pictures in the following ways:

  • When importing templates from one localhost to another localhost.
  • When importing templates from one site to another.

To solve this issue, ask your hosting company to ensure the following:

  • The option allow_url_fopen is activated
  • The function file_get_contents is not blocked

Try to import the templates again. The images should appear.

Note
Sometimes the allow_url_fopen may appear as activated even though it is not. This needs to be checked by an experienced technical support engineer.
