Increasing Engagement and Growing the Community

It’s all about our members and creating meaningful interactions by meeting their needs. By providing a safe space to support and learn Elementor, you will make sure the group is engaging and growing.

Increasing Engagement

Tips and tricks on creating meaningful interactions:

  • Lead by example. Actively participate in the group as a fellow member, not just a moderator. It helps set the culture and tone for the group and enables members to get to know you.
  • Members like to be recognized, even if it’s just with a like or a short comment. Give members positive feedback by actively commenting and reacting to their posts. This is not just to provide answers to questions, but rather in order to create awareness of the post by others.
  • As you get to know different members, try connecting people with similar interests by tagging them in comments or posts.
  • Use recurring weekly/monthly post rituals.

Why do we want to have recurring rituals?

Recurring rituals help to create and define our group’s identity and culture. It helps to create unique characteristics and sets us apart from other similar groups out there. It also keeps the engagement going and members are able to look forward to, and anticipate, what’s coming.

What are those rituals?

As we are focusing on being a group that is by and for the community, providing support and knowledge to our fellow Elementor users, all of our rituals must be connected to our main mission: Empower web creators.

Those recurring rituals could be open-ended questions, weekly posts, polls, monthly segments, use of hashtags and so forth.

In the Global Elementor Community we have these traditions:

  • Sunday Showoff post thread – weekly post on Sunday that enables users to showcase their work on different topics. Each week we select a different theme to promote a wider pool of knowledge.
  • Tuesday tip post thread – weekly post on Tuesday, where users can share their tips about specific topics. Could be in text, screenshot, or video. Whatever they choose. Those “viral” tips can also be great as options for Tuesday tip live.
  • Bi-weekly Poll – polls are a great way to get to know your members and what interests them, as well as share knowledge and preferences.
  • Bi-weekly welcome new members post – A bi-weekly post by admin and/or moderator (we take turns), that helps new members feel welcome but also provides a reminder of our group’s culture, resources, and other initiatives.
  • Tuesday Tip Live – a monthly live Facebook event, that showcases a community member that shares their tip in a 20 min segment. To learn more about this segment, please contact Verdi.
  • This month in the Community – Recap of what’s been happening this month in the group. Great opportunity to share “top posts and contributors”, encourage people and give shout-outs to helpful members.
  • New Leader announcement – after a period of 8 weeks, once a leader has finished their onboarding process and buddy training, they are officially announced and recognized by the group Admin.

Growing The Group – Will you recommend the group to a colleague?

Our group members are your most effective partners in promoting your group to others. If they care about the community and enjoy the group, they may want to invite their friends.

Don’t hesitate to remind members to invite their friends, since they may not know they can.

Facebook tools for growth

  • Group Privacy settings will help you define what type of community you are but also influence your growth. We recommend choosing a Closed group setting which will enable people to be able to search for and easily discover your group while strengthening a sense of community because posts are visible to members only.
  • Consider using group tags to make your group easier to find.
  • Location tags help people search for and discover groups that are relevant to their area.

Help people find related groups by linking them. Elementor Community is growing and official groups are being added to the network.

We would love you feedback
