In the first part of our 1st Meetup Leaders meeting, we discussed the future of online meetups and how to preserve human engagement. Our main takeaways were:
- Online meetups are here to stay, even when in-person events will return.
- The online meetup format needs to focus on interaction between participants rather than long presentations by one speaker.
- We should test and explore different platforms that will increase the interaction for online events. Please share with us (#meetups) if you have any suggestions.
- Explore the option for topic dedicated meetups/events (multilingual, developers, marketing, design)
- It might be that the most common hobby among web creators is Music 🙂
- Topic proposal for the next meeting: How to build your leadership team?
In the second part of the meeting, Tali shared the results of our bi-monthly meetup members survey with some interesting feedback that could help you get to know the members, plan, and prepare for future meetups.
