This tutorial explains how to use the maintenance mode feature, so you can work on your site and see it, while your visitors see the maintenance mode page.
hi this is david from elementa and today
i’m going to show you how to use the
maintenance mode all coming soon in
Elementor you can now easily set
maintenance mode or coming soon pages on
WordPress this could be very useful in
some situations such as if you want to
change your site design if you want to
fix some bugs or errors or if you are
about to launch a new site first let’s
create a coming soon template let’s go
to the Elementor tab in the dashboard
and click on my library let’s create add
new and call it coming soon edit with
Elementor first of all let’s go to the
Hamburg icon page settings and choose
nmn to canvas
template add template and choose the
coming soon template you could also
create your own customized template
let’s make it published now let’s go
back to the dashboard now I will show
you how to use the maintenance mode
feature let’s go to elementary in the
dashboard and click on tools now coming
soon and maintenance mode doesn’t only
affect how visitors to your site
it also has effect on search engines
when you set coming soon mode search
engines were successfully index your
site as your site will send them an HTTP
set maintenance mode search engines will
know your site is temporarily down for
maintenance as it sends an HTTP 503
response which tells your search engines
to come back later to set coming soon
mode first let’s choose the coming soon
option here and choose the coming soon
template I’ve created earlier now let’s
save the changes
notice that when you click on Save
Changes the maintenance mode
notifications will appear in red now
let’s go to incognito mode this means
that visitors that are not logged in
will see this page when they enter the
site when i refresh my site when I’m
logged in I would have an access to view
my site in a similar way
let’s choose maintenance mode and the
maintain phone template that I created
before again non logged in visitors will
see the maintenance page and admins will
see the site the maintenance mode
feature also allows you to customize the
roles that have access to the site by
clicking on who can access and cut them
by this way you can choose to show the
site to any of these roles this is great
if you have a site with multi users with
different roles and permissions as we’ve
seen maintenance mode helps you create
under construction and coming soon pages
in the most simplest and most visual way
