This article breaks down how to read and interpret those results so you can prioritize and resolve accessibility issues more effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Violations Are Categorized<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Each issue detected in your scan is grouped into categories that align with accessibility best practices. These categories help you quickly understand what type of problem was found and where to focus your fixes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Understanding Issue Types<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Each item within a category corresponds to a specific violation rule<\/strong> (based on WCAG 2.1 standards). When you click into a violation, you\u2019ll see:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Levels of Severity (A vs AA)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Each issue is assigned a conformance level<\/strong> based on WCAG guidelines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Level<\/strong><\/td>Meaning<\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
    A (Basic)<\/strong><\/td>Essential fixes for basic accessibility; typically required<\/td><\/tr>
    AA (Recommended)<\/strong><\/td>Strongly recommended for public and commercial sites<\/td><\/tr>
    (AAA-level issues are not currently flagged by the Assistant.)<\/em><\/td><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    Use these levels to help prioritize which issues to resolve first. For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Low contrast text (Level AA)<\/strong> \u2192 Important, but secondary to critical fixes

      Resolved vs. Unresolved Status<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Every issue in your scan will show as either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Status<\/strong><\/td>What It Means<\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
      Unresolved<\/strong><\/td>The issue still exists or hasn\u2019t been addressed<\/td><\/tr>
      Resolved<\/strong><\/td>You\u2019ve fixed the issue manually or accepted an AI-generated fix<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

      When you manually mark an issue as resolved (such as after editing the image alt text), it updates the progress tracker<\/strong> at the top of your scan results.
