Adding a custom domain to Site Mailer is a great way to personalize emails sent to your customers. This way, by looking at the sender\u2019s address, they\u2019ll know that the email is coming from you and not a random source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To add a custom domain<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to WP Admin.

  2. Navigate to Settings>Site Mailer<\/strong>.
    \"\"<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click General Settings<\/strong>.

  4. In the Domain<\/strong> section, click Add custom domain<\/strong>.

Before beginning this process, make sure you have your login information ready, so you can access their system.[\/callout]

  5. Read the notes in the popup window and click Let’s do it!<\/strong>

  6. Enter your domain name (for example, mycoolsite.com<\/strong>) in the domain name text box.

  7. (Optional) enter a sender name for emails sent by Site Mailer using the custom domain. (for example, Info<\/strong>@mysite.com).

  8. Click Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. If you haven\u2019t done so already, sign in to your domain name provider in a separate browser tab.

However, these are all third parties so we can\u2019t guarantee that these providers will not change their process or UI.[\/callout]<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. In the tab with your domain name provider\u2019s site, locate the DNS settings for your domain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. Find the option to manage the DNS settings.

  12. Return to the tab with Site Mailer, check I’ve logged in and found the domain settings<\/strong> and click Next<\/strong>.

    A list of addresses appears.

  13. Use the copy icon \"\" to copy the Host<\/strong> information and the Value<\/strong> from Site Mailer.

  14. Return to the tab with your domain name provider and create a new CNAME record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  15. Paste the information you copied from Site Mailer into the new CNAME record.

  16. Keep copying the information from Site Mailer to your domain name provider and creating CNAME records until you\u2019ve copied all the entries.\u00a0

  17. When finished, check I’ve verified my domain records with the values above <\/strong>and click Verify my domain<\/strong>.

    After verification, your Site Mailer emails will now use your custom domain as their address.
