After you register with Akismet, you\u2019ll be given an API key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Open WP Admin<\/strong>.

Add shortcodes to Akismet Spam Protection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
In order for spam protection to work, you need to determine which fields to filter. For example, you can filter the email and message fields. You determine which fields to scan, by entering that field\u2019s shortcode in the Akismet Spam Protection section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After setting up the spam filter, you should test to make sure it\u2019s working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To test the spam filter<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Go to the Akismet website<\/a>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
- There you\u2019ll find text specifically designed to trigger the spam filter, when entered into specific fields, such as the Name <\/strong>field. Copy the text for one of these fields.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- In the Elementor Editor, go back to the page with the form you want to test.
