You can now access the A record and CNAME of your Elementor hosted website.<\/li>\n\n\n\n- In the Update your DNS records<\/strong> section, under A record and\/or CNAME value, click the copy icon to copy the A record or CNAME from the Elementor tab.

Adding an A record<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\nImportant:<\/strong> If your domain DNS records have an AAAA (IPv6) record set, you\u2019ll need to delete it because IPv6 isn\u2019t compatible with Elementor hosted websites<\/a> yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe DNS<\/strong> Management<\/strong> page is where you\u2019ll create an A record for your domain. If your domain already has an A record set to \u201cParked\u201d or another address, you\u2019ll have to delete it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n- Click Manage custom records<\/strong>.

If only all your work could be as simple as adding an A Record!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\nUsing a CNAME record for the www address<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\nTo direct the \u201cwww\u201d address to your Elementor hosted website, you need to create a CNAME record with the host name set to \u201cwww\u201d. You may already have a CNAME record for the \u201cwww\u201d address set to your domain. If you do, you can leave this as-is. If you don\u2019t have a \u201cwww\u201d address in your list, you need to add it from the DNS Management<\/strong> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\nTo add a \u201cwww\u201d address: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n- Click Manage custom records<\/strong>.
<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n- Enter \u201cwww\u201d in the Host name<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

For example, if your domain name is example.com<\/em> and your Elementor website is example.elementor.cloud<\/em>, create a CNAME record with example.com that points to example.elementor.cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\nFinishing up<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n- Go back to the Elementor tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Click I updated my records. Connect my domain<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

(e.g. mysite.com<\/em> will be the primary domain, and www.mysite.com<\/em> will also be connected.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Note: Domain connection can take up to 72 hours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Important:<\/strong> If your domain DNS records have an AAAA (IPv6) record set, you\u2019ll need to delete it because IPv6 isn\u2019t compatible with Elementor hosted websites<\/a> yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The DNS<\/strong> Management<\/strong> page is where you\u2019ll create an A record for your domain. If your domain already has an A record set to \u201cParked\u201d or another address, you\u2019ll have to delete it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To direct the \u201cwww\u201d address to your Elementor hosted website, you need to create a CNAME record with the host name set to \u201cwww\u201d. You may already have a CNAME record for the \u201cwww\u201d address set to your domain. If you do, you can leave this as-is. If you don\u2019t have a \u201cwww\u201d address in your list, you need to add it from the DNS Management<\/strong> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To add a \u201cwww\u201d address: <\/p>\n\n\n\n You can also point your domain to your cloud account by adding a CNAME record that points your domain to your Elementor hosted website domain.
