What are global settings? <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Global settings enable you to change a property that is common across multiple widgets or features. Global fonts and global colors<\/a> allow you to maintain a consistent look across your site and quickly update a design. For example, if you decide to change your font color from blue to pink, you can simply change the global font instead of editing every page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using global fonts and colors <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you want to update items globally, you have to be tagged to add them to a group. Once tagged, you can modify the group using that global name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have four default groups<\/strong> of fonts and colors: Primary, Secondary, Text, and Accent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the example below, we\u2019ll modify all items labeled Primary <\/strong>on your site, including the title. First, let\u2019s create a headline for the title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create the headline<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To add a heading you need to select where you want the headline.  To do so:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Drag the Heading widget <\/a>to the canvas. <\/li>
  2. Edit the title text in the panel and select Update<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Change a global font <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    1. Navigate to hamburger menu in the upper left of the panel and select Site Settings<\/strong>.

    2. Click Global Fonts<\/strong>. <\/li>
    3. Go to the font labeled Primary<\/strong>. <\/li>
    4. Select the Pencil icon<\/strong>. <\/li>
    5. Change attributes in the Typography<\/strong> menu. <\/li>
    6. Close the menu.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      To change a global color<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      1. Click Global Colors<\/strong>. <\/li>
      2. Go to a font label called Primary<\/strong>. <\/li>
      3. Click the color swatch to open the Color Picker<\/strong>. <\/li>
      4. Select the color you want from the Color Picker. <\/strong><\/li>
      5. Close the menu.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
