This page lists your published posts. Elementor Pro lets you design this layout exactly how you want. You can customize the look for standard blogs or search results. Archives have different terms that you can use to filter them, terms you\u2019re familiar with: Author, Date, Category, Search results, Recent posts, Tags or any other taxonomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Set Up Your WordPress Blog Page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before building the template, you must configure WordPress. WordPress controls which page acts as your blog. You don\u2019t have to use Elementor to write the actual content, although you can if you\u2019d like, of course. But many people prefer to write posts the standard WordPress way, since they often don\u2019t need the advanced layout features for a simple, straightforward blog post. Click to <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" class=\"text-primary underline underline-offset-2 hover:opacity-90\" href=\"https:\/\/elementor.com\/help\/conditions\/\">learn about conditions<\/a>.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Click <strong>Save &amp; Close<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> Elementor Archive Templates remove default theme sidebars. Use the Theme Locations API within your theme to restore them if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advanced Archive Features<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tip<\/strong>: You can create <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" class=\"text-primary underline underline-offset-2 hover:opacity-90\" href=\"https:\/\/elementor.com\/help\/dynamic-content\/\">dynamic<\/a> archive templates by using <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" class=\"text-primary underline underline-offset-2 hover:opacity-90\" href=\"https:\/\/elementor.com\/help\/elementor-integration-with-acf\/\">ACF<\/a> to add custom fields to your taxonomies such as your categories and tags, and then you can display those taxonomy custom fields on your archive pages. In this way, you can dynamically set the surrounding layout. For example, if you create a custom image field for each of your categories, then your archive template could display a unique banner image for each category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note<\/strong>: If you have created a custom post type using a plugin such as CPT UI, be sure to <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" class=\"text-primary underline underline-offset-2 hover:opacity-90\" href=\"https:\/\/elementor.com\/blog\/create-movie-review-website\/\">change \u2018Has Archive\u2019 from false to true<\/a> so you can build an archive for this custom post type. If you\u2019ve hand-coded the function yourself, be sure to set the parameter <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"text-primary underline underline-offset-2 hover:opacity-90\" href=\"https:\/\/codex.wordpress.org\/Function_Reference\/register_post_type\">has_archive<\/a> to true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note<\/strong>: Elementor\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Archive Templates<\/em>&nbsp;remove theme sidebars by default.
