Make sure you;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arrive at the venue before time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check all tech necessities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Internet connection (if you are broadcasting or presenting live) <\/li><li>Laptop (battery\/power)<\/li><li>Microphone (if necessary)\u00a0<\/li><li>Projector<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If it&#8217;s a hybrid event: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Camera and tripod<\/li><li>Speaker <\/li><li>Microphone for attendees in the venue <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure you have enough:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Seats<\/li><li>Tables (If necessary)<\/li><li>Name tags &amp; pens<\/li><li>Ask a team member or attendee to take pictures.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">During the event&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Make members feel comfortable. For first-timers, coming to a meetup can be very overwhelming. Try to personally welcome all the participants, while actively approaching those who are alone to connect them to other members in the room.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hybrid event<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Have someone welcome and facilitate online networking, during the gathering time in the venue.<\/li><li>Make sure you have a person to make sure the online participants see and hear during all events.  <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Manage expectations by sharing as much information about what\u2019s next,\u00a0members will feel more secure and confident.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tip: Use a presentation to lead the meetup<\/li><li>Introduce yourself as the organizer, your leadership team, and speakers (if there are).&nbsp;<\/li><li>Share the meetup\u2019s agenda. If the meetup has more than one speaker, make sure members know when they can ask questions and continue the conversation.<\/li><li>Tip: it\u2019s all about the people. If possible, make a quick round of intros with all participants, in the beginning, make a fun exercise to get people to engage with one another, or add to the agenda small group discussions.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">End of the event&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Thank everyone for attending.<\/li><li>Save the Date! Announce the next meetup; Date and topic, If already scheduled.<\/li><li>Ask members to fill out the feedback form they will receive by email. <\/li><li>Once every 3 meetups, share a full feedback survey.
